Time tested, labeled fire protection
Guardian Fire Doors have enabled discriminating fire protection professionals across the country to set new standards of excellence in property protection.

Predictability and reliability: Whether subjected to frequent drop testing or in response to a crisis, you can put your trust in the features that distinguish the Guardian™ Fire Door from ordinary fire doors.

Decision making made easy: The National Fire Protection Association and other model codes recommend frequent drop testing of fire doors to assure a continuous state of readiness. C.H.I. strongly promotes this philosophy with the Guardian’s™ advanced design features:

- Simple, inexpensive and infinitely repeatable drop testing now possible in any facility with the simple flip of a handle.

- No ladders or tools are required to drop test and reset the Guardian™.

- Drop speed is governed by a quiet, easily adjustable centrifugal brake to between 6" to 12" per second.

- Efficient, economical gear reduced chain hoist is standard for ease of operation.

- Provided with three 165 degree fusible links as standard release devices.

- U.L. Labeled from 3/4 hour to 4 hour in standard and oversize labels.

- Mounts to approved masonry, steel and sheetrock jambs.

- Upward expanding guides may be welded to approved steel jambs.

- Available with time delay releases, smoke detectors, McCabe thermal/electrical releases, audible and visual warning systems.

- Significantly reduced installation times due to elimination of drop weights, two-side release cable rigging, and complicated tension release assemblies.

- Available with curved or flat slat profiles in pre-painted, plain G-90 galvanized or numerous powder coat options.
