Older model automatic garage door openers can be dangerous and cause serious injury or death.

As of 1993, new safety-feature requirements that can lower the possibility of injury is an increase in the sensitivity of the reversal mechanisms on all automatic door openers. There are thousands of these automatic openers manufactured prior to the new safety features still in use.

We suggest that you remove or replace automatic openers manufactured prior to 1993. If they need service, the law requires that they be "red tagged" and disconnected from use immediately!!
